Who we are

Viterra Rus has been successfully operating in Russia for over 17 years and is one of the leading grain exporters on the Russian market.

We started our trading activities in May 2004 when International Grain Company LLC (MZK) was registered. In a short period, IGC (MZK) became one of Russia's leading grain exporters. Our business is actively developing its assets/logistical supply chain to increase grain throughput and efficiency of operations.

As part of the global Glencore Agricultural business, we changed our name to Glencore Agriculture MZK LLC in May 2017. Following the rebranding of Glencore Agriculture's global business operations in 2020, we rebranded to "Viterra Rus" in June 2021.

Currently, Viterra Rus:

  • Is one of the leading grain exporters on the Russian market;
  • Supplies grain to 40 countries worldwide;
  • Operates through group owned terminals:

    Deep-sea port in Taman with one of the largest grain storage capacities in Russia of 200 kMT and throughput capacity of 4.5-5 MMT;

    Shallow-water port in Rostov-on-Don with 90 kMT storage and up to 1.5 MMT throughput capacity.

  • Has field-offices in the main grain-producing regions: Krasnodar, Stavropol, Rostov, Voronezh and Saratov, originating grain from most of the Russian regions;

We employ approximately 700 employees, including in our industrial assets and joint ventures.

Our business is the founder and a member of the Russian Union of Grain Exporters. We also participate in the activities of other industry and public organisations, such as the Russian Grain Union, Russian Business Association of bona fide participants of the agri sector. We are also members of the Charter governing agricultural products flows.
